Hallway Renovation

This was the second of three capital improvement projects we undertook for this client and the most elaborate and costly.  The hallways had been untouched since the early 90’s and while they did have an interesting moody feel, the overall aesthetic was dated, the finishes were worn and the lighting was not sufficient.  Over the 4+ years we worked on this project we saw 3 different board presidents and the overall design saw as many iterations before construction began in late 2020 while COVID restrictions were still in place.  The renovation was complete overall and focused on a brighter, more sophisticated palette with neutral wall coverings, high-contrast trim, and modern flush-mount lighting to improve both illumination and ambiance. 

The carpeting was replaced with a custom Axminster pattern that enhances visual length and adds subtle texture. Trim and door frames were refinished in a sleek charcoal tone to provide definition and modern appeal.  All  door saddles and hardware as well as signage were also upgraded. 

The result is a sophisticated and inviting corridor that feels open, elegant, and consistent with the building’s overall style.
