Principal | Architect

Eric has been an integral part of ECA for more than 20 years and is one of the firm’s four principals. Throughout his tenure, he has contributed to both the design and consulting sides of the practice. Leveraging extensive experience across a range of residential project scales and representing some of New York City’s premier properties, Eric helps maintain and elevate the firm’s collective knowledge base. His responsibilities include client liaison, project management, supervising, and project coordination.

Eric leads ECA’s practice in Inclusive Design, drawing on his background in environmental-behavior research, accessible design, and design for aging and special populations. He is a licensed architect in New York and an NCIDQ-certified professional. For nearly two decades, he has served on the faculty of the New York School of Interior Design, committee member of the current  NYC Department of Buildings’ code revision cycle for Accessibility and contributed to NYC’s Aging in Place Guide for Building Owners through his work with the AIA Design for Aging Committee. Eric’s primary focuses are human-centered design and education. He is also a founding member of the Chelsea Garden Club, a volunteer organization that brings intergenerational residents together to beautify the neighborhood.
