The existing hallway design at The Edgewater was a Florida meets Manhattan disaster. While the Lobby is a formal space with limestone and walnut finishes, the hallways were a collage of disparate elements including bleached wood consoles with ornate mirrors above, green floral carpeting and carriage lamps. We developed a walnut panelization detail at the elevator recesses and opposite walls, which frame a mirror with classic modern sconces, creating an elegant point of arrival. Although reminiscent of the Lobby, the detailing is sleek and timeless.
