Given their budgetary concerns, this Board opted for a limited renovation of this spacious through block Lobby, maintaining existing marble walls and floors, but seeking improvements that would bring a residential scale and warmth to a cold and dated Lobby. Selected finishes that were not clad in stone were replaced with richly stained wood paneling, soft translucent mirrored backed glass and bronze detailing. Grandly-scaled bronze light fixtures and a hand painted faux silver-leaf ceiling wallpaper add movement and luminosity to the Main Lobby, a strong counterpoint to the uninterrupted expanses of stone. New bronze entry doors, wood paneled concierge area and a new entrance canopy completed the significant transformation of this Lobby.
